Week 2 / Descriptive Reflection: Strengths and Challenges in Communicating (Post 1)
A few days back I was given the opportunity to give a presentation to the class on the topic of ‘Active Listening’. Before the presentation I was slightly nervous as I am not sure if the content I am covering was in-line with the lecturer had intended. Fortunately, I was able to deliver the presentation with somewhat accurate degree with the help of substantial sources found in google. And through the presentation, I believe that my strength in communication is that when I am working with ambiguous contents, I will try to mask my nervousness through the tone of speech by making myself sound more confident. Likewise, in some instances when I am working as a promoter selling a product to a client while not possessing a good knowledge of the product ,I will try my best to sound confident to gain their confidence in me when buying the product.
